Dec 11 Press Release
For Immediate Release
SEATTLE, WA — Dec 11, 2014 — Seattle Meowtropolitan cat cafe, slated to open in the middle of 2015, is in its last month of crowd-funding. The project has already raised nearly $10,000 from supporters through their Indiegogo campaign (igg.me/at/seameow).
Already partnered with local roaster Herkimer Coffee, the Seattle cat cafe is now searching for a space in the city to set up shop. The concept is continues to gain popularity with cat-crazy Seattleites. Co-founder Louisa Liu expects, “once we have leased our space early next year, we will announce our partnership with a local shelter, local business will be clawing for the chance to be involved with a novel project.”
The cat cafe concept in the US has proven wildly popular by the success of Oakland, California’s Cat Town Cafe, which opened in November. Since then, over 40 cats have been adopted through the cafe. Seattle Meowtropolitan hopes to follow suit in the cat-loving Seattle metropolitan area.
If you are excited for a cat paradise where you can get your coffee fix and want to contribute to the project, visit the Indiegogo campaign at igg.me/at/seameow.
